you're mistaken by the object viewer. Saracems do vertical take-off like a rocket/shuttle  :P

I'm not really familiar with GPL license but just enough to know that if you use GPL content it contaminate your own work with GPL license. I've nothing against GPL when it applies to software that run on personal computer on which risks  are controlled, when it applies to public server running obsolete scripting engine... i prefer to keep some secrecy on my own code until (i finish it) i don't have anymore time to spend on it.

i noticed that for human weapon there is redondant firemode definition (once in the weapon, once in the ammo). Which is the correct to use?

hi
As a old european native, i like the "æ" effect in UFOPædia, it sound more intellectual. I like it but i guess it will be more easy for everyone to have the modern form "UfoPedia" instead of the neo-classical one.

What i can say is in my own language i will have to check if its UfoPédia or UfoPædia once you're agreed on a spelling.

Hi

for serveral weapon (plasma rifle, maybe rpg) the alien does the "dead" animation belore the bullet/plasma thing hit itself.

that is not realy a big bug but still... disappointing.

i dislike laser rifle because of they cost. i prefer plasma weapon. they are free, and more effective than weapon.

i do alien thing last, first goal is aircraft laser, then it isnano armor (i think it's easier to have some of them before the alien start using blasters. When i start studying alien something realy interesting is to get the advanced radar because it's a building whitout open doors (when you're under attack it's more easy to tell from where the alien will come.)

yes you're right for odd behavior.

moreover having a containment unit make a base very expensive. what i can tell i that you for yourself it's best to have the 4 races in your laboratory. Alive of course.

Don't use the teaser. it's not as efficient as the stun rod, you will have to manage the munitions (it fact try it once to see the weapon special effect). Stun  and wound, wound and stun, that's the best way.

there will be missions were alien starting points are very near the your stun rod starting point.

And NEVER use canon-foder soldier. Every time you've got a soldier moving or shooting he/she get bonus. There is no point of losing this bonus: only this way you can get soldier having something like 40 TU per turn.make them walk a lot ( and crouched).

well i'm about ufo 500. main level.
i did all the researchs available (i've got the yellow needle gun, not the green yet)
i only shoot down alien when they are coming to near of the dropship (so with stingers no pb )... i only need complete ufo (for AM).
most of the harvester mission have 10 aliens
i've happiness at maximum.
nothing new happens..

the correct spelling is
"à la guerre comme à la guerre."

it's the very first thing you learn at military scool about weapon is to not fire when they are comrade in front of you.
