For me, it works, but it lets me see only a specific area, such as alien ship large, but only the floor you are on.

Really? For me, it's regulary spotting things on lower and higher floors. It seems to have a vision cone of something like 140 degrees left and right and the same up and down.

I think he meant a system when a soldiers HP reaches 0% theres a certain percentage chance that he gets wounded instead of killed.

I think it's the system that a medpack is not able to heal a soldier back to full health (only in the mission), but he has to regenerate for some weeks in a hosiptal before he could be sent on another mission again.

I, personally, think the slower campaign speed is just right for me.

Earlier, new research and new equipment came so fast, I didn't really have time to get used to them. Basically, as soon as I had laser rifles, the aliens brought tachyon weapons. It's nice to be able to progress more slowly.

But that's just my "taste" for the campaign.

Patrol is possible, altho I'm not surprised you haven't found it. In hangar, next to aircraft status (in base, refuelling etc...) is little launch icon, then you can direct the aircraft to destination by left-click.

I just noticed my last sentence in OP is wrong, I wanted to say "totally unimportant" (not of great importance for me).

I looked at your to-do wiki and did not find it there, so I hope I put the request in the right place.

I hereby request a hotkey for using headgear. I miss it dearly.


Also, would it be possible to disable the "right click destroys building" function? It is a nice touch you tried to make the  interaction faster, but I'm actually not destroying so many of my own buildings that I thought "Oh, if there was only a faster way".
In fact, I once missclicked and destroyed my hospital (yes, even if there was a message "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DESTROY THIS BUILDING?" I simply missclicked, and man it happens so fast...).

Another request would be to send aircraft out on patrol without an objective (e.g. a mission). This one is totally important, though, but it occurred to me it would be nice to do soe patroling.

I usually don't change the equipment of my soldiers / the soldiers in my team according to the mission. Too lazy for that.

Thus, when the terrain seems to favor it, I let my snipers and explosves guy usually change to SMGs in early game. Later, they usually aquired enought TUs to blast the aliens with two or three close range snap-shots. Even armored ortnoks don't like that.

On the other side, you can already see the moon in global view mode, maybe it would be worth to ship some ICBMs up and intercept some ufos.

Ha, at first, I hated this map, too. ;D

Try moving inside the buildings, so you can sneak up on the aliens a bit more.

Also, the large cable drum in the east (right-side) actually provides good cover. I always make on of my guys crouch there and the aliens focus their fire on him, while the rest of the team advances. *fingers always crossed* He survived the map three times so far. One time, the Ortnoks even tried to rush him in CQC, despite their pistols of doom. A good day for the snipers behind the fence.

On this map it also really pays off to have long-range weapons. Laser rifles shine.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say what a great thing the 2.3 release is.

The new maps, the randomisation of missions, the weapons, the soundtrack (man, one of the tracks is creeping me out, but all in all they are great), the research options, the background writing, I love it.
(or love to hate it, multi-story car park anyone? Stairs are a nightmare).

So far, the release has been very stable for me and everything seems to work fine.

There are, understandably, still things the developers are working on and try to improve, and seriously, when will people be ever satisfied with weapon balance?

(Also, if I may add, the GUI of the bases could be a tiny bit more intuitive. I played an earlier release and now it took me some time to find the equipment menu)

But all in all, I played the 2.3 release last weekend and this weekend too, and it's just plain fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you for spending your free time to make this game! :)
