Hello,
Here is a Traditional Chinese Translation of ufoai 2.3.1 in .po format. Most of the ufopedia contents and city-names are converted from the zh_cn translation. Wish this to be added in future versions.

thanks - i will apply this to master

please keep in mind that you also have to update the wiki with your translations - otherwise they will be lost on the next auto sync that is done with the scripts from the wiki to the po files.

Excuse me, I think it messes me up by:
1) I cannot find the corresponding Traditional Chinese translation section in the wiki page.
2) I am afraid that it looks like hell for me to add all the translated terms on the wiki page.
3) I am seriously out of mood today for the XVI spreading event in ninex.info.  >:(

So is it all right to just forget the wiki page because the sync scripts won't update something that are not in the translation page?  ???

no, the wiki has prio - if nothing is in the wiki, the po file content will be replaced with english text on the next sync.

adding the sections can be done in http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php?title=Template:Translation_subpages

I consider that it is not a wise option to update thousands of items on the wiki page manually, should you consider making a script or so to backward sync the wiki page just like what you did in the master?

I am afraid that I cannot find any link or button which adds a new template in this page. For your convenient, I think you should consider directly add one to there/the repository/svn/git etc,  since I am not considered qualificatory as a moderator/admin rightnow.

I follow the link you provided, but I don't think I can do anything on that page since all links there are redlinks. And, that page is not where I think I should update.

All subdomains of ninex.info are non-functional for several hours today, so I guess they are relational.

Only UFOpedia entries and storyline text (in general the very long texts) go in the wiki and I don't think there are thousands of entries in it, the rest, (mostly UI related) goes only in the .po file

The "official" method of translating the very long texts is in the wiki and then update the .po files from there (a dev will take care of syncing) not the other way around, you maybe were not aware but it's been that way for a long time now (maybe since the begining?), the chance of your hard work being overwrited in the future is real, and would be a terrible loss IMO, so I encourage you to update the wiki with your versions (as soon as it is working again)

Creating a new section should not be that hard once the wiki works again, but if you have trouble someone here might help (I could give it a look when/if I have the time and things are working again if no one else does)

To be honest, what I focused was just the UI/Gameplay related items only. I am not interest in some very common or nonessential entries at all since most people won't care about that except gameplay, agree?

The problem I encountered was, I couldn't find any button or link that added a new section in the wiki. Even it existed, I didn't think I would do something that could be easily accomplished by a marco or script, in short.

P.S. I am just a rookie of UFOAI, so I am new and fresh. Hence, DR, please don't  tell me to do some procedures that cannot be easily understanded or executed.   ;)

Ninex fix the MediaWiki config file, you can access again to Translation namespace.

The Chinese character set can be comprehended into 2 different ways, one simplified and another complex. The ONLY set I can find here is the simplified one, so I am afraid that I cannot help.

P.S. It seems that a complex version in HK is added somehow sometime.

it looks like zh_TW is about traditional Chinese characters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zh-TW), but everything must be done. I create a page about that at http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/List_of_msgid/zh_TW

Feel free to create another entry code, it is very easy (only 1 line); but it looks like many open-source projects use zh_TW for traditional. Maybe you can copy content from simplified chinese and edit it.

• Maybe you are still thinking about it linearly, so I say it once more, the page you point it to me is a page about the UFOPedia contents that I don't think most people will care about it. Even you put the original english text into the place of the translation, no one will doubt about it is mysterious. I've said that UFOPedia was not my focused items in the above post, so I would just care about the UI/Interface ones. According to DarkRain's post, the UI related contents are only go in the .po file, so it's not a matter with those translated UFOPedia contents overwritten by english text.
• Would you mind to code some lines of script that can directly copy the contents from the .po file to the wiki? IMO, a professional coder will never do something in complex if it can be done in simple, plus, this script will be helpful in future.
• I cannot see the related page on the translation index.

Ummmm, how about making a macro to perform those robot works then? I know that many people can do such things by plugins or Auto-it liked programs. The only drawback for that is the rise of unemployment rate... I guess.
