There is something that is think would a lot more fun during the tactical part of the game.

Maps are always lifeless, which should be normal considering that it is a turn based game.

But in a turn based game only elements that would provide an advantage or disadvantage to a team should remain Idle.

Which means that grass, dogs, cats, chickens, water, lights effects at night whatever useless animal or vegetable, should have a constant animation.

Also this feeling can be created using sounds, ex when the music sequence ends, lets take the japan map, we can start hearing the birds, owls, pigeons annoyed fyling from the roof, there should be definitly a music sequence where only that kind of sound are patchworked.

Its a lot of job, but that would provide a much better feeling.

Maybe somone has other suggestions ?

thx

too bad you can't have a car drive buy, or so other pieces of equiptment that could be doing things.

Like an explosion near a firehydrant could make it pop off and spray water.

or a forklifter could be used as a make shift elevator

with the technology, with what you can bomb down the are with an airstike, it would not be useful, to fight with tanks/other vehicles. the man is the smallest (useable) mobility unit.
