[fixed!] interceptors missing firing ring radius
« on: December 28, 2012, 08:21:54 pm »
this bug http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/3292/ seems to persist. Could I provide anything to help fix this, logs, savegame?

Saves? if you have one before the bug appeared, from where it can be reproduced, that would be good.

ok, I experimented with this a tiny bit, and it can be easily reproduced. here's what I did:

1) buy a new interceptor and a missile rack, but sell the missiles in your storage if any
2) equip the missile rack
3) send out the craft. no firing radius ring, well it shouldn't have one because it has no missiles.
4) buy some missiles and head back to base, missiles will be loaded automatically

now you should have an interceptor that can shoot missiles but lacks the radius ring.

not necessary to send it out in the between, btw. just make sure you don't have any missiles when you equip the rack.

can you reproduce?

You should have reopened the bug instead of posting a forum thread imho.

afaik that report is for 2.4, I don't know if this bug exists in that version (it was reported to have been fixed)

can anyone reproduce it?
