Soldier Implants

Hi everyone
I read in the Hospital description that it has facilities to implant mechanical stuff on soldiers, so here are a couple questions
1) Can you really make implants on soldiers?

2) If so, then how do you do it?

3)What is their point?

i would apreciate if you could help me

Implants is a planned feature but not yet available.
