Hi all,

Is there a way I can edited the amount of cash I begin with at the start of a game?

If so could someone please give me some simple steps on what I need to do and how to do it?

You will want to edit the campaigns.ufo file in /base/ufos/.

If you don't have a /base/ufos/ folder you probably have a number of .pk3 files in /base/. You will need to unpack the ufos pk3 in order to view and edit the campaigns.ufo file.

You can't make it unlimited, but you can set it to a higher amount.

I have unpacked the ufos pk3 file and now have loads of files available to edit, which one contains the information for altering the cash?

I have changed the ufos pk3 file into a .rar file, unpacked it, made the changes I wanted using word pad and saved them.

My only problem is I now don't know how to change it back to the pk3 file again.....?

You don't need to pack them back up. If I remember correctly, the game will load the files outside your pk3 AFTER it loads the pk3s, so your new definitions should overwrite the old one.

Also, you may have problems if you edited the file using wordpad. Try a raw text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.
