Unending storyline

Guys is it just me or does the story never end? The game seems to go on and on forever.

Thank GOD! *relieved* I remember playing 2.1 having researched everything and waiting for what's next xD And then I eventually got bored and left the game X_X

in version 2.3 there is an ending(at least 3 bad endings), not sure about good endings.

You can beat aliens in 2.3 too.
