A little thing about how to compile

(1/2) > >>

Rarok:
I'm using this "guide" : http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/Compile_for_Mac#Quickstart_for_Mac_Port_users.2C_or_people_who_have_no_development_environment_and_want_to_set_one_up._Generates_a_universal_app

The thing is that with a MacOsX 10.6 installing macports just before running that script it says me that:

--- Code: ---checking zlib.h usability... yes
checking zlib.h presence... yes
checking for zlib.h... yes
checking for compress in -lz... no
configure: error: You must have libz!!!

--- End code ---

geever:
so? install zlib.

-geever

Rarok:
This is how it's failing now tons of warning and doesn't works :(

Destructavator:
I don't own a mac or know macs too well, but I did notice this line in both the first and second posts with code:

checking for zlib.h... yes

The error in the first one was about "libz" and not "zlib" which might or might not be related, I don't know.

Still, one of the mac guys here will have to solve this one...

Mattn:
libz == zlib

you can disable curses with a parameter:
./configure --without-curses
as far as i remember.
