Finding SVN number - ubuntu 2.3 builds
« on: March 13, 2009, 07:59:12 pm »
I'm trying to be certain of my information before putting in a bug report, and need to find the SVN number for my current installation.

I'm using the intrepid repository, and synaptic does list an SVN number with the version number (current: 2.3~~21570). Can I trust that this is correct? Is there a way to check from inside the game itself?

No, you can't. You'll just have to hope the listed revision is correct.

Thanks much, I'll use that # when reporting then.

A good practice before reporting a bug is to update your svn checkout again and look if the bug is still present in the latest code. Then you can see the trunk version via your browser when browsing the sourcforge project.

I don't think he's using an SVN checkout.

Correct. Compiling code and I have not gotten along well in the past, so I'm using the intrepid 'nightly-builds' repository.
