* download xdelta patch

Thanks for going thru the trouble of making and providing those xdeltas !
But I just had some problems with this download from rapidshare.de...

Wouldn't it be simpler to put those xdelta-patch-files on SF.net,
maybe as an attachment to an 'issue' on the bugtracker ?

Oh, my fault, I've forgotten sf has a size limit. Sorry, a28s! Perhaps get in touch with mattn so that he let's you upload on the sf Files section?

One more remark: the patch to RC4-2 also overwrites config.cfg,
setting the screen-mode to 1280x800, etc.
My monitor can do only 1024x768.

Re-setting the screenmode from the option-page within the game
does not work, because the buttons are too far to the right
at 1280x800, so they are off the screen.

And in config.cfg, it is not obvious how to change it, (set gl_mode "6"),
because nowhere is a string or comment like "1280x800".

i am sorry ... those settings are from my notebook.

mattn does not want to be the patches fully official (appearing in the dl list at sf). so ill just keep uploading them to rapidshare.

Good work, v29a. And, after all, I think it is a good idea you provide your own config.cfg, becuase the game is sometimes unstable with an old config (the valid confing setting change).

you mean i should just delete config.cfg and let the game create it everytime?

I'm not sure. Every solution has its drawbacks. If you don't provide your config, the game may crash with the user's old one. If you provide one, user is angry you wiped up his. If you force deletion of config and recreation of it (can you do that at all?) the user is angry, too, though not as much...

How about providing a copy of the current config.cfg,
renamed to, say, standard_config.cfg ?

So an existing config.cfg that has already been customized
by a user could be left alone.
