Multiplayer Coop

I've heard about this game before, but I actually downloaded it yesterday after seeing that it had multiplayer. How do I get coop mode to work? My brother and I tried to play on the same team, but either he doesn't have any soldiers or some of our guys spawn right inside of the aliens. Almost all the maps say coop2, coop3, etc., so am I just doing it wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

not all the maps will work for coop - if you find one that has a coop gametype set while you spawn with the aliens, please let us know. make sure, that you are only creating teams of 4 players - not 8

It's just the two of us. Would it work better if it was set to teams of 2?
