Question: running a single map with AI
« on: July 23, 2006, 06:23:46 pm »
First of all: great game, thanks all for releasing it :D

I'd like to know if it's possible to have a list of commands to run single maps with determined configurations: for example, run the map africa04d.bsp playing with team01 against team02 with configuration01.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance for answers.

yes, use the cvars ai_alien to determine the alien amount, ai_civilian for civilians and start your map from console via map farm08n e.g.

Sorry, I'm not very expert of cvars, configurations etc. Could you help me in a more specific way? Because I tried to go to the console after starting the game, but from the console the commands ai_alien and ai_civilian were not recognized. I started a map and then these two commands were recognized but there was no human team to play with.

Can you explain me how to set a single configuration to run a map, just as a Skirmish mode? Thanks again.

but there was no human team to play with.

Load a savegame where you are about to go on a mission.

When you have entered the battlefield, open the console with key ^,
then type "maplist" to see the list of available maps,
then type "map lake03d" (d=day, n=night) and play continues on that map.
