Mission Problem

I downloaded the ufo.ai_2.0rc2-multilanguage.run
I'm using a dual monitor display with a ATI x1300 Pro (AGP) and the ATI proprietary drivers 8.25.18 running the game at 1280x1024.

It's a new install with Ubuntu Daper 6.06.

I was able to start, configure, but when I started my first mission, the level loaded, without my drop ship, and the bottom left weapon window was white, with the time and health bars shifted to the left.

The selection row on the top of the UI for solders was also greyed out.

Any thoughts?

You used RC2? Try RC3.

Tired RC 3.  I can do a mission. But I loose, and then the hud stays on the screen and the rest goes black, and I'm stuck.  Have to quit from there.

Same here with RC3, on Win98:
aliens shot my last man, but mission doesn't end.

Unfortunately this is a known bug: lost missions hang the game. Just don't loose.! :)
