How to play multiplayer

When ever I enter multi player there are never any servers listed what should I do?

you should join the irc (and maybe stay there a little bit) and ask for players. when you've found someone open a server (open the port 27910 tcp in your firewall - the server should be automatically promoted to our masterserver and should be visible to the other players (when you have set up your firewall correctly)
