It's attached in http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1812549&group_id=157793&atid=805244

It seems that attachments don't work in the forums so I have found another free hosting site :)

quite some time has passed ... anyway ... I just tried the svn build #29356 (version 2.3 developer) and I have the same problem:

Quote
The procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.DLL.

I am using Windows 2000 professional with the current updates and service packs (sp 4). My system has the ws2_32.dll in version "5.00.2195.6601" which seams to be from 1999. I just downloaded the version "5.1.2600.2180" and placed it in the installation directory which leaded to an other error:

Quote
The procedure entry point RtlIpv4StringToAddressW could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll.

My system has ntdll.dll in version "5.0.2195.7006" from 1999. I placed version "5.1.2600.2180" of the ntdll.dll from XP SP 2 into the ufo installation directory which didn't solve the problem. According to Microsoft (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa814458(VS.85).aspx) this function is included in the dll since Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.

I just tested the ntdll.dll in the games installation directory from windows vista (version "6.0.6000.16386"). I still get the same error message. It seams as the dll isn't beeing used but my own ntdll.dll from my system is beeing used instead.

Well, at least I would appreciate it if ufo:ai would be running on my system.

And... the obvious question is: What is your system?
Either it IS Win2k as discussed here, or you'd wish a version for Mac OS or Unix  ;D
I don't see much people running WinNT or win 98 these days, and from what I heard this project can run on Linux...

Hey, don't worry about it, I still have my desktop on Win2k/Ubuntu and a laptop on Vista... I usually wait a long time between upgrades  :D
