UFO:AI window catches mouse
« on: July 22, 2007, 09:24:34 pm »
Hi, it's me, the new one.

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature request, but I declare that it's a little bit of both:

I'm playing UFO:AI on GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 7.04). And I can't alt+tab out of the application, but however I can live with that. What I can't live with is that even when the program is windowed, the mouse won't get out of the ai window, which may be the only reason why one might want to run it windowed.
Whenever I want to browse on the ufoai site, I have to quite the game or use lynx on tty2, so please... change that :)

That would be soo kind of you.

Thank you for reading this,
lostbuthappy

edit: by the way, I have version 2.1.

open the game console and type "vid_grabmouse 0"

now you can alt+tab out of the window when the game console is opened

the variable is stored in user settings - you only have to set it once. but maybe we should add it to the game options. open a feature request tracker about that: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=add&group_id=157793&atid=805245
