"Terror Attack" text is not readable
« on: July 07, 2007, 11:48:55 am »
When terror attack has a place, in left bottom of the screen there is a text about it. And it's not fit to the small window.
Example:
Code: [Select]

Night
Location: Redisson
Type: Terror Attack
Objective: Damn it, you've let some of them
get away again! Reequip your squad and get

I still don't know what I have to "get". ;-)
 Mine resolution is 1024x768.

This node with mission description should be scrollable. Try to use mouse wheel on it - does that scroll the text?

I'm sorry to say that... Yes, I know, it's 21st century and so on... But I have no wheel on mouse, sorry. 8-(

Hey, don't worry, I don't have one either. But if you're on Windows, you might want to take a look at this:
http://www.geocities.com/pronto4u/mouseemulator.html
It's not elegant or comfortable by any means, but it helps out in situations when having a mouse wheel is an absolute necessity.
If you're on Linux, you'll have to google around a bit, but I'm pretty sure there are programs like this for Linux as well.

Still I think there should be scroll bars in such a case. Taking for granted that people have a mouse wheel is one thing, but expecting them to know when it can be used is another. If there are no scroll bars, I don't know that I can use the wheel.

Of course there should be scroll bars there as well as in many other places. I still believe someone will implement scrollbars because currently we lack them. (Last time I heard Tritol was working on them, don't know the status now, he got overloaded by work recently)
