« on: February 25, 2007, 07:31:30 pm »
Hi,

I just begin play UFO:AI and .... i'm addict but i have a problem. I'd like to play with my friends and my girlfriend.

If i try to launch a server game directly by the game, it's crashing during the /image/ load and i must restart my computer.

If i try to launch the Dedicated Server directly in dos command, i can create a game 1on1 with my specified options in dedicated.cfg but ... the game crash when i start to join the server. It seems to kill the game processus and return me to windows.

So ... the first game i try to play in multiplayer when i install the first time the game, i have play with no problem. Now ... it is impossible to create or join a game. Can you help me please ?

Thanks a lot,

CoeurNoir

P.S: My configuration
P4 2Ghz
256 Ram
Windows XP (SP2)
Graphic Card: ATI mobility

I have no problem to play Solo Mode.

not a solution but a suggestion - you should try the latest development version from http://mattn.ninex.info/?page=Download

Hmm, ok the last 2.1 dev Version is better but ... i can't play multiplayer. The Dedicated Console is very cool, we can connect, we can play ... 2 minutes.

After that, me or my friend is disconnect with a message type like "wcaconnreset on 192.168.0.101:(port)" it's an example.

Is anyone have the same trouble ?

wlan ? wireless lan ? we are two computers on a D-Link Router but in wire connection (RJ45). the server crash and return to windows.

i have the message that you send to me on the link.

WSAECONNRESET connection reset on 192.168.0.101

Is that a local problem between us or a game bug who lose packets during the multiplayer game ?

We really want to play UFO:AI. We are addict, thanks a lot for helping me.

Hey Guys,
great work. Congratulations! I though the project was fading, but I checked out the Beta link, installed, had some fun and was glad to see some improvement on network. Was even able to spot the "dedicated server", but couldnt get past a repeat of "connecting to..." And there are only two slots and no bots (is that a point of setup or one of possibility?).

Sorry to break into the discussion, but here is where I found the beta link. Anyhow CoeurNoir and girl could play over Internetserver, if Network fails. So finally my questions:
Why does it not connect? There is no error message.

Hi Cycyc,

You said, "CoeurNoir and girl could play over Internetserver" ? how can you see the internet games ? when i go on the multiplayer section, there are no internet servers who appear. I just can see local server.

Thanks, if internet servers could work, i could try to play on it with my friend.

there should be a dedicated server in the server list.

make sure, that the cvar masterserver_ip is set to 195.136.48.62

you could also try to manually connect to this ip via the connect command (after you have set up a team of course)

Ok, i can join the dedicated server. we already continue trying to play with my friend. We have found that alien players have stats over 100 like 101 or 102 and it bug games.

As same trouble, if we don't install game source with the installation, there is troubles with hosting servers who crash with combat.c

Thanks for all Mattn and best regards for you and all your team, i really enjoy this game.

Your site says <Could not query server>

Is it of offline for good or just for now?
