Problem with compiling maps
« on: May 14, 2006, 11:12:30 am »
Excuse my bad english.
I have downloaded windows pre-built ufo_win32_rev903.zip and unziped it.
Using TortoiseCVN I have downloaded content of https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ufoai/ufoai/trunk/base into empty dir and later copyed it into ufoai/base directory.
I have also copyed qbsp3.exe and qrad3.exe into ufoai/base/maps and started compile.pl from thet directory.
1) He expected to find 'pics' directory in ufoai and not in ufoai/base directory which I solved by copying directory pics.
2) For file ufoai/base/maps/b/g/ufo_hangar.map he was unable to create .bsp, which I solved by renameing it into ufo_hangar.map1.
This solutions are prety ugly, so is there some better way to compile maps?
And will there be problems with playing game because there will not be ufo_hangar.bsp?
Thanks

currently there is no better way.

the problems are known and will (hopefully) be fixed soon.

you won´t get any problems at this state - because there will be no base assembly (assemble the bsp-files to go to 3d-mission) yet - due to the fact, that base attacking is not in the current campaign.
