The latest stable release is version 2.5.

Debian UFO:AI v2.5 is available in the Debian package repository since Stretch (Debian 9)

Install it from a graphical package manager via the following command as root user:

apt-get install ufoai
Gentoo UFO:AI v2.5 is available in the Gentoo portage as games-strategy/ufoai

Install via the following command as root user:

emerge ufoai
Ubuntu UFO:AI v2.5 is available in the Ubuntu Software Center since 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus

Install it from the Software Center application or via the following command:

sudo apt-get install ufoai
Mac OS X UFO:AI v2.5 is available in the Mac Ports.

To set up Mac Ports follow their guide. To install UFO:AI via Mac Ports run the following command:

sudo port install ufo-ai
Windows Win32 Release version 2.5 (≈1314 MB)

Development (latest)

Version 2.6-dev is the work in progress version. It is considered unstable. It is only officially available through Git.

Warning: Keep in mind that this is the bleeding edge of development.
NOTE: The server might accidentally disconnect your download connection before it is complete, especially with the larger downloads, depending on your ISP and how fast your Internet connection is. If you have trouble downloading the larger files, or any files here, please try a third-party download manager such as flashget or downthemall (a Firefox extension).

The community provides binaries, though these binaries are often quickly outdated.
