Problem is, the stronger you already are, the slower you become even stronger than that. I have a soldier with strength 57 at 25 missions. The lower mission count is because of strength training. A soldier gets more if he were burdened on average over the course of a mission, but I surely limit this to certain safe missions, or the end of missions, when the situation is safe enough. Not like start every mission fully packed with grenade launcher ammo. That is most strength gain then, but I can't do much with such a soldier.

When you hit 2 aliens with one salve, does it count as 1 hit or as 2?

i made it now.

Hard mode is done with lost only 1 Riflemen during a 3 h base defense fight in the beginning.

8 Stingrays
7 Bases
12 Colonels and a lot 200 Hitpoints + 95+ Strength and speed.
i nearly played all the missions manually.

the clue was really to fully overload them and play with plasma pistols and plasma rifles in singleshot til the ortnoks came.

Then i mixed 6 plasma riflers with 6 partical cannnoniers and each one got a plasma loaded gren launcher in the backpack.

got the savegame upped.

br kc

ps: thx for the hints, was a lot of fun and thrill trying not to loose any soldiers, i failed, i lost 1 riflemen :)
