Missing textures in UFO AI Radiant map maker.

madrsihands:
I'm trying to follow the tutorial for UFO-AI-Radiant here http://ufoai.org/wiki/Mapping_for_Dummies/Lesson1, but I'm getting stuck at the Texture application.  I can easily get my window to look like http://ufoai.org/wiki/File:Ma_1_3.png, but I don't know how to reach the texture sub-menu shown on the right of the picture in http://ufoai.org/wiki/File:Ma_1_4.png.  I heard somewhere about a Radiant installation typical missing where the texture files are, is this related to that problem?  I tried to look for the textures shown in Ma_1_4.png through Surfaces --> Shader, yet I can't figure out where Radiant puts this texture folder and if it is different from the texture folder that game with the game.

ShipIt:
The textures are not part of Radiant, they are part of the game, located in /base/textures. Use
--- Code: ---Edit - Preferences - Options - Path
--- End code ---
to show Radiant where to look for the files. Beside that (I assume you already did that), there is a <Directories> button below the Textures tab, which will bring up a list of the available texture folders to choose from.

ConsUme:
He's not exactly lying...

The textures will NOT load in UFOradiant standalone after going to the game directory.

EDIT:FIXED but another problem. will start an new thread

ShipIt:
Who about what?

UFORadiant is not a standalone application. It could be, and probably should be, but it isn´t. It is part of the game.

ConsUme:
the seperate install only works.

not standalone.
