Auto Binaries
« on: November 13, 2012, 10:34:06 pm »
I can't download any of the new 2.5 binaries. Not for about a week. The download starts and lists what looks like an accurate full size. Then after a minute or so it decides it's done, Chrome lists it as 100% and changes the max size to whatever I've gotten so far. The files are of course too short and corrupt.

Anyone else have this problem?

For me any download from snapshots has that problem.
For 2.5-dev I can succesfully get binaries without corruption but the installer has problem describes by above poster.(ps can get Win32 Release version 2.4 and get installed with no problem)

I can also confirm this problem with both Chrome and IE9. They claim the download is completed after only about 40-50MB have been downloaded.

I should probably also add that it worked fine 5 days ago when I last downloaded the full installer.

The documentation for the builder is kinda scattered but I did in fact get it working last night. Git updating does not seem to have problems.

And as a plus I have my first working copy of Radiant for UFO AI now. Good old Radiant, I remember using this for Quake2 :)

Why is this called a nightly build
and why is there an update utility?

post in thread link seem made think outdate which cross it off.

All know is without download manger any thing over 30 mb in http://ufoai.ninex.info/snapshots/ seem stop download.
As for http://www.meduniwien.ac.at/user/michael.zellhofer/ufoai/2.5/ufoai-2.5-dev-1351893478-Debug-pentium-m-O1-sse2-7z-small-win32.exe I had assume it was out dated and that updater did not work anymore and combine with date posts had link on it made think old. Maybe make new sticky post that link to and make clear that if want nightly build you can use that with update tool in it?

ps thanks correct me on my error of my assumptions :P
