Pilot BUG?

Hi all!
i'm new but old fan of this game, my first ufo was on AMiGA!!!
now i'm on Linux, but i've found a problem, after 2 months of gaming i've only 1 pilot!!! and no more candidates.
i got bases, soldiers, scientists but only one pilot!!! how it's possible? and suggestions?

in 2.3.1 you have 512 pilots which should be enough for the campaign.
It's been changed in 2.4-dev you have only a few at start, but get more by every month.

I'm on 2.3.1 but every month I get new soldiers, scientists, workers but no pilots! I'v only one :(

Yes, in 2.3.x number of pilots were static (512 at start of the game). You could remove them by right clicking on their checkboxes or simply lose them in airfight. If none of these happened I have no idea.
Edit: one more possibility: running the time too fast could make some transfers stuck so you could "lose" people if they were in one of those transfers.

any suggestions to increase at least to two/three pilots?
