Patch for "double click" movement added to the latest SVN. It was written to help combat the problem of having selected one soldier and then trying to select another but missing and making your soldier walk to entirely the wrong place :-S

How it works:
  • first click sets the location to walk to (and displays the path the soldier will walk along).
  • clicking on the same spot again makes the soldier walk there.
  • clicking on a different spot sets that spot as the new "place to walk to".
  • double-clicking works as you'd expect (it makes the soldier walk there immediately).

You can enable it via "Options -> Game -> Confirm Movement"

Please post back any comments and suggestions :-)

Sounds like a great idea!

Just as a side note... any linux distros wanted to put the game in with it yet?

what i really liked in handling in the old ufo games was that if you have a soldier selected and this unti is walking, a click stops his current movement.
