Missing skins
« on: June 24, 2010, 09:49:33 am »
Stable 2.3 r30625 checked out and compiled according to http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/Debian

Skins appear to be missing; instead, I get red-glowing models as in the following screenshots
http://img684.imageshack.us/i/skins1.png/
http://img706.imageshack.us/i/skins2.png/
http://img37.imageshack.us/i/skins5.png/

Log of console from latest run attached.

...Did I miss something?

In your log:
Code: [Select]
No skin for #0 of 'models/.....md2
Textures are probably missing from your pk3-s somehow.

That's what I'd have thought, but the svn seems to check out normally. As such, I have no idea what could be causing it.

Just in case, I made a clean checkout:
Code: [Select]
svn co https://ufoai.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ufoai/ufoai/branches/ufoai_2.3 ufoai_2.3
Compiled once again
Problem persists.

Nevermind... I ran a full system update (gentoo) and now the thing works. I did fulfill the ufoai deps prior to doing this - so as far as I know, it could have been anything. It's funny how minute details can affect functionality.

Compiled today from SVN on fresh Kubuntu:

What is wrong ?

UPDATE II:
after rename /usr/local to /usr/local-disabled and fresh compile process is all OK  ;D
there was newer version of libpng ...
