Various Graphics bugs
« on: May 23, 2010, 05:51:00 pm »
Im using the latest stable version as far as I am aware. New to the game.

Firstly, I couldnt not set full screen so I did it in the config file. That worked fine, however, I then couldnt change the resolution. I did this also in the config file, but, there was no change in the in game resolution. Also, when I start a new game, what I assume to be location names on the map...are all white boxes with no text. I really want to play this game...could you please help me get it sorted out and working.

Many thanks.

EDIT: Okay...I managed to remove the text bug. I had to do a complete reinstall however. I still cannot change resolution however.

Im running on Windows 7 64bit and a 9800GTX+

A word of friendly advice: Time to ditch version 2.2.1, which at this point looks like a buggy beta version compared to the 2.3 version, which is going to be the next stable release very soon (since the development version at this point is 2.4).

Destructavator will probably upload a new installer soon - aha - he already has:

http://www.destructavator.com/92dl/ufoai/ufoai_2_3_win32_r30097.exe

That may be a debug release, but it's significantly farther along than 2.2.1. Install that and run it, you will have a lot less problems. Ask for help in the Windows subforum if you need.
