Where are the UFO AI save files located?

My version of UFO AI seems to have corrupted, none of the text shows up in research and intro for some odd reason, and it's actually quite annoying. So I thought if I did a fresh install it'd wipe everything. Not so, it still remember my old save, and that's where things started to go wrong, as it was fine until I exited mid battle. So I now want to eradicate all preferences/saves/etc but they aren't in the usual places such as the library.

So where exactly are these save files?

Thanks :) I ended up finding them on my own, turns out theres a /.ufoai. I had to delete the entire thing for the text to work again :|

sorry but i'm using 10.5+... i can't find /.ufoai file. could someone point me in the right direction?

i am also having missing text issue!

 :o Is this a 10.5 issue? I haven't had any issues yet, but not played much over the holidays...

sorry meant to say 10.5+ mac OS...

yea for some reason when i had loaded a saved game all the text in all communications is now missing... the heading comes up but the text is missing and instead i see the name of the text file that should be there....

anyways - thought it's related to the above, and want to reinstall the game. however, i can't find the /.ufoai file for my saved game - i don't want to start from scratch!

Go to 'go to folder" in finder and type in `/.ufoai it should take you there. I think there isn't a way to make it better at the moment once it screws like that. I have since given up until the next release.

thanks! i actually did try that and it won't bring up anything except the application... not sure what i'm doing wrong...

i am using 2.2.1 version of the game.
