Code: [Select]
#: ../base/ufos/menu_buy.ufo:2268
#, fuzzy
msgid "Show aircrafts"
msgstr "アーマー類を表示します"

#: ../base/ufos/menu_buy.ufo:2288
#, fuzzy
msgid "Show craftitems"
msgstr "アーマー類を表示します"
Are those placeholders or something?

strange stuff is the format or Content ?
this 'fuzzy' translate by the poedit's automatic operation.
Therefore, it is the same as the untranslation.

No, I meant, the actual translations. Clearly "Show aircrafts" and "Show craftitems" can't both translate to "アーマー類を表示します".

Not to mention that that isn't a translation of either.

both are only fuzzy - suggestions by poedit - not used as a translation, just a base for further editing

I made a wiki for french translation.
This is not to replace the official wiki but to add the others translations.

French wiki

OK, I see what you did.... you took the list from the fr.po and split it alphabetically, right?
I don't see why you did that, however.

Don't you think it would make more sense to translate some of the articles in the list of msgid's (http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/List_of_msgid) or just translate the strings in the fr.po (50 untranslated)?

-Head over to the wiki http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki
-Go to List of msgid's http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/List_of_msgid
-Look through the categories
-Wherever it says 'please translate' in the status column, look into the column german and if it says [open] there or the german string is colored red, it needs to be translated; when it's yellow something still exists but maybe not everything, look at article.
-When you want to tanslate sth where it says [open], translate the title and create an article called like that, and put a link to it instead of the [open].
-Copy the english version (column: en (source)) to the german page and start substituting the text by the german translation. Try to stick to already existing translations if possible/unsure.

When you have finished a translation, please put a [[done]] tag underneath the link to the translated wiki page, same as with the others.

Thanks to encourage me.
"Bye bye, I work in solo, this is better for everyone."
Do you think it better, really ?

50 untranslated and 209 fuzzy but in fact 259 untranslated.

And sorry if I translate slowly but it's better than nothing. wiki

gt666: Dont get me wrong, any help from you is appreciated.
I just think it's better to directly translate the de.po and the wiki instead of creating a wiki and then doing it there...

jo11yroger: Seems fine, thank you. However, you are allowed to translate it a bit more freely... It sounds a bit bumpy (german: holprig) like this (e. g.: Zum Abschluss, ...)

Hi, I keep translating into Japanese.
this is new file.
http://www.mediafire.com/?fug9czmlhnj

but, have big problem.
If it is English, the part settled with one word becomes two or more in
Japanese.
(eg. "Medium" becomes "中" and "中量" by the scene.
(It happens by a lot of things such as other "Hospital" and "Employee" "Hire Employee" "soldiers".

Therefore, the amount of the item of the po file is a little.
the translation in another part is not suitable when a certain part is translated.
Please make the word of pofile of each scene independent.
At least, Please make the word used for the button the independent one.

Moreover, I produced a Japanese entry of laungage.ufo.
Code: [Select]

language ja {
"_Japanese"
{
ja_JP.UTF-8
ja_JP.utf8
}
}

By the way, how should I do to include Japanese to UFOAI ?

hi

i can't download your po file, could you please reupload it or send to our patch tracker? http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=add&group_id=157793&atid=805244

i will then commit it to trunk as soon as possible.

about your problems: i'm not sure whether i understand exactly what you mean. could you please provide some more examples and explain a little bit more what we have to do to fix this?
