Game is not running in Ubuntu Hardy 8.04

Hello all,

I'am sorry my first post is a bug of the game. But i prefeer not install Windows version and use native linux.

So the problem is:
I can execute the game (console or launcher) but the game tilts my computer when i play first mission. I can start move soldiers, pass turns but for some reason in no more than 5 minutes all is broken.

As i seen http://ufoai.ninex.info/forum/index.php?topic=2926.0 The Xserver on Ubuntu Hardy freezes and flickers randomly

I downloaded the 2.2.1 game from:

hm. intel cards are known to not work very nice. there were some improvements in the current dev version - would be sweet if you could check the version out

Hello people: yes i did it with no success. Games freezes all system when playing a mission;

I tried with WINE with the same result.

Changed desktop pix., but nothing helps.

If anyone has any idea just tell hum i like to play with GNU software.
