Textures Not Mapping on Models (2.2, Linux + ATI)

(1/1)

ErebusTheTerror:
Hello All;

Its been a while, I gave up on the last release, so I tried again on 2.2, and am having the same problem:

Textures do not map onto models in-game.  Attachments show what I am talking about.

Here's my system specs:
Ubuntu 7.10 on IBM Thinkpad T60p.
ATI drivers, Ver. 8.40.4 from official fglrx (ati.com) with all SDL packages installed.
ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 PCIe 400Mhz Clock, 256MB DDR3 (at 330Mhz)
OpenGL ver. 2.0.6747
GLX gears outputs at 2369 FPS (Hardware 3D accel ON)
No Compiz running.

Here's the log:

Other Opengl games map textures correctly (Alien Arena, OpenArena, etc)

I am adept at Linux/ubuntu, and I cannot figure this out.  Any help would be appreciated - I loved this game - played on my old nvidia card w/o issues!

Mattn:
we've rewritten great portions of the renderer in current trunk - it would be really nice to know whether this problem is still there in 2.3 (trunk)
