sorry, but just to make everything clear, the model is finished but not textured,so i dont think u should include it as "is it". rigth now you would get just what you see in page 1

Best regards, Danimal.

So?  This is a work in progress. Withholding content because all aesthetic aspects aren't complete doest't advance the game.

I think shipping with some rough spots (as long as the feature is playable) will help reinforce the idea that there are things that need to be done, and would encourage people to help...

At least that's how i got my introduction to open-source gaming (which i had never previously heard of

hi,

looks cool - feel free to submit or attach the model already - even if it's unfinished we could get the scripting done for it.

ps. you know that you can also attach screenshots to the forum thread?!

Well, this is the final, i hope, if everything is fine ill upload the .blend and try to convert it to .md2
By the way the attaching of the forums works wat better than imageshack.

It's a beautiful texture job, but the biohazard symbol is very human, which totally doesn't belong on an alien weapon. Can you please fix that little niggle before submitting the final? I'd really appreciate it.

Regards,
Winter

Hi, im new around here but willing to help a bit, since i have learnt how to use blender not so long ago i will try to do small objects and such. Any constructive critic is welcome  ;D .

NEW MODEL

I finally got some time to retake this model, so the first thing i did was to made a minor modification on it (piston and rail guides on the lower side) plus some cleaning on the mesh that resulted in less polis used. Currently i have the model almost textured, but since im still figthing my way with blender texture baking option it may take some time. As always contructive critics welcome.  ;)

469 vertex and 477 faces total.

Beautiful! Please post the source file so we can commit it to SVN.

Regards,
Winter

PS. Would it be possible to get a separate textured blood canister as well? We need it as ammo for the syringe.

Here are the textured .blenders for the syrenge and blood canister with textures:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SPWYX6C5

But im having difficulties turning them to .md2, the tutorial is really scarce and not so clear, for example, how many blender units should they be?

Well, guess ill start making other models of the TO DO in my free time, something have priority?

Salutes.
