Here is what I found there:

http://opengameart.org/content/2-male-death-voices

http://opengameart.org/content/7-male-pain-voices

http://opengameart.org/content/male-healed-voice

The license is CC-BY-SA 3.0.
If you want to include these I will cut & encode them if needed...

BTW - is hurtsound implemented yet, because it seems that nobody ever screams when getting hurt, see: http://ufoai.ninex.info/forum/index.php?topic=4524.0

Hey guys, I'm not sure if you are still looking for specific sounds and voices, but if you are there is a very good and active site at http://www.freesound.org/forum where people request sounds for projects and users generate or submit sounds to help people out for free.

From their homepage Description: "The Freesound Project is a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. Freesound focusses only on sound, not songs."

If you're all full up on sounds or you've tried the community already I'll say no more, if you are looking for specific sounds and voices I could put up some requests and see if anyone can make something special for the game.

Well not anymore, because almost all sounds has been replaced by my sounds in the dev version and iam still creating new ones. Afaik samples from this site has been already used in 2.3, but thanks for the information anyway. :)

Ok no worries, its a bit tricky to figure out whats still needed when the game is evolving over multiple release versions, I'm glad they have what they need now.

ok, under advice I've created an opengameart account to upload/distribute some (GPL 2+) files to you guys

http://opengameart.org/content/grunts-of-male-death-and-pain

i recorded a few variations of a male hurt/death sound. The link is to a single wav file with several attempts in it.

I think we can make a good use of the them. Thanks. :) Btw. some of them sounds like a serious business on the toilet because theyre to long in my opinion - they wont fit at least to UFO:AI. ;)

haha i agree about the toilet comment  :D

actually, i cut the length of this file by at least half - there were a lot more "toilet worthy" grunts on there to start with  ;D

IMHO we should use your sounds also, because many of them are VERY nice & variety is always nice to have.

Thanks for the kind comment MCR  ;)

I spent quite some time producing those and if they aren't being used its a shame - however, I'm afraid not having too much of a technical understanding of the project, I guess I lost track at the change over to git and sadly beginning to lose interest, not having had a new version since svn.  :(

I still drop in here occasionally tho, but not too often these days. I used to enjoy a little bug-hunting too apart from contributing the audio bits.

Wish you all best of luck!
