Please give me some feedback

I was thinking of the throb of large UFO engine.

Very Well Done, I'd Say!  I can picture this being in a mission very easily.

I'm curious - what equipment/hardware/software did you use to make this?

I posted a reply earlier but I think it got lost...

I liked the introduction, very atmospheric and quite fitting...  I'm not sure that the transition to the upbeat alien rave party theme works though.

Other than that little criticism, nice work on the sounds, all very professional sounding.  I'm just not sure it "fits".

all (free) software. I mention it all in the license. all the long samples started as white noise. I messed around with the noise in audacity for a while (and then some more in psycle).

 lol.
hmm. not quite what I had in mind. I was hoping for something more like the incidental music from the film "event horizon".

i will adjust it a bit. thanks for your thoughts

I'll listen to it again from a different perspective.

I do like the ambience of this track, I thought to myself that the thrumming sound would make a great ambient loop if it could be attached to a landed UFO in a ground mission.

Here is almost 30 seconds of slightly remixed, isolated throbbing.

Coders: could this be looped and attached to an engine? As the actor you have selected nears the engine of a big UFO it would get louder.

I plan to work on the music track some more. I'll get back to you when it doesn't sound like those pesky aliens are throwing shapes and going large.

For the ignorant amongst us, namely me... what can I use on Windows to play a .ogg file?  Mediaplayer and Realplayer don't want to recognize it.

Gosh, what a surprise :P

I use foobar2000 (audio only). You could also use media player classic, which is an alround player for both video and audio.

try

http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~science/AndySuperstructure02.mp3

(I did an MP3 too)

I've pushed most of the sounds (drums and bassline) way into the backround. Any better? any more specific ideas? anyone fancy taking the tracker file (.psy) or the samples and having a go?

Alex: congratulations on getting the squad leader stripes.

Re: your music - I'll have a look at it tonight, I've just started work and I probably shouldn't be here :)
