Error Saving - Fehler beim Speichern des Spiels

I am new to the Game. I just downloaded Ufo 2.1.1 and installed it on my ubuntu feisty fawn system. I started to play a campaign. I were able to save to games. A few minutes ago I played again and when I wanted to save I got the message "Fehler beim Speichern des Spiels. Größen stimmen nicht überein - Fehler beim Speichern der Kampagne". Why is that?

thank you for your help. that was exactly the problem. i had to manually give write permissions to my user. now saving works.
