Maybe this is futuristic enough for you, an heavily armed helicopter that can move troupes ( not textured ).

But this kind of models cost 1500 poly's triangled, and a lot of texture work.
And making the UV map

Holy hell, that's an attractive model, sitters. We'd be ecstatic to have that UVed and textured on our maps.

[EDIT] Just one change I'd recommend, is changing those landing . . . things into more ordinary landing wheels. Struts generally aren't very good for landing on, especially in something as movable and unstable a helicopter. That's why they tend to use skis (for light copters) and wheels (for heavy copters).

Winter

Thanks, everybody.

OK I make an normal landing gear, UV-ed and skin it.
It cost some time to do it ( I have also an busy real life , for making an living ).
And I think the texture comes 1024X1024, to make the details OK.
If you like it when ready, I make more of this stile futuristic models.

Very nice model. A shame that the texture is tiled so heavily. Is there anything you can do to fix that, or do you want to submit it as-is?

Winter

I think the problem is the camo features are too small. Try just enlarging the texture and angle it so we can't easily see the repeating bits.

OK , In the zip file are now two textures, one small and one big, look what you use.

This is the big one.

Damn, that's a shame . . .

The idea of alien tanks doesn't fit into the storyline, unfortunately. The aliens don't engage in open ground warfare, so they'd have no possible use for a full-size tank. Even a small tank would be useless when they can build autonomous flying robots and Bloodspiders, both of which are much more manoeuvrable and suitable to UFO:AI's urban combat and small maps.

Winter
