A very simple track, with a soft layer of strings over a nice recording of a thunderstorm with light rain, and another recording of Los Angeles at night, where an alarm is going off, a recorded message is playing on a loop, and sirens can be heard passing close by and in the distance.

That one is absolutely awesome for me. I will commit it and add to one mission after finding one suitable. Thanks for your work!

Wow. Great tune mate! Love it. It reminds me of Blade Runner OST a little bit.

Wow!!

It reminds me a lot of the intro track to X-Com Apocalypse, except the aliens don't break in.

How about the map "subway"? Or maybe one should really build a more citylike map for this track  :)

Cheers for the compliments guys...

I've uploaded a fixed version of this tune here: http://www.soundportfolio.com/components/com_docman/dlzone/sullencity.ogg

This version has been run through a compressor and a multiband compressor to help level out the extreme differences in volume (i.e. the loud thunder and the too-silent background music and rain), and also to bring the track up to an average level of -16dB (soundforge's setting for "music").

I feel this version is a definite improvement, thanks for the suggestions.

By the way if you download this and it sounds the same as the original version, its probably because my domain hasn't fully delegated yet.

I've just switched servers, and its taking a while for the rest of the internet to pick up the move...  If this is the case for you try this link:

Just listened to this track, it is awesome.

I would recomend it for the Stadium map! It is a good map there I think this soundtrack would fit perfectly.

I think more of the woman:s "attention please xx xx xx" would fit perfectly there!
