Ok, just if s/b missed it i'm currently working on the IR-Device     tlh2000 mentioned in the sf-forum:

Feature request 1433772 - 3D model: infrared-scanner.

Since i do not have the possibility to upload the current model somewhere there is nothing to see yet. - The feature request has been opened by me anonymously which seems to prevent this. Is it possible to assign it to me or something, so this works again?
But I have problems to get a md2-model out of blender anyway, so no big deal for now ;)

no sorry, i can't assign this to a specific user.
but the upload works for me (maybe because i'm on the admin list) when i'm logged in at sourceforge.net otherwise just send this via email or - when you are about to do more models for ufo:ai you can get write access to svn.

Oh, i can upload just fine (remember the patches for the armor-swapping?), but not in this bug... i may just open a new bug/FeatureRequest for uploading and then closing this one :D

What i wanted to know: do you have a possibility to convert .obj (or similar) to md2? Because exporting to other model-formats like .obj works for me just md2 is a problem right now.

yes - we've got a md2-exporter for 3dsmax. send it to me and i'll try my best.

I'll investigate that as soon as i get home (if nothing hinders me work-wise that is) I suspect a missing (not found) texture or flipped normals or something like that.

The texture needs some better Lens-texture anyway, just wait for the final version :D

yes of course - we need new models for adding for details to the maps.
we need cars, trucks, shield, lamps, etc...

music. maybe you can do music with we can release under the gpl? then we would also have music for the debian repository

a mixture of md2 and md3

there are exporters for 3dsmax available - see the turorial section for this

Do you mean the engine can use md2 and md3 or that the used format is a mixture of both?

'cause in the first case i think i can find a working  md3-exporter for blender somewhere since the md2 one seems to be broken right now.

Damn, the md3 export doesn't work as well :(

Think i need to dig a bit into the source of these scripts ... if only to be able to use only blender for creating models for UFO:AI ... i don't have max.
