the game crashes when the aliens attack my base... it always happen..

I try to remove the music & sound volume to "0" but it doesnt help, change the sound to wapi or DX doesnt help either....

disabeling the sound driver on the PC doesnt help again....

in the application event log i get:

... ok I tried to run the UFO.exe with no sound parameter:
 " D:\UFOAI-2.0-RC6\ufo.exe +set snd_init 0"

but still got crash...

Ok... i downloaded the latest UFO.exe  ( from one of the posts)... but it still crashes,

I reduced the VIDEO options to ridiculous... :)

and using the dev log level..  ( set developer 1)

meaning the game is starting up and crashes while level is loading. we really need a backtrace for this. if you want to help to fix this bug and make the game playable for you, please head over to http://ufo.myexp.de/wiki/index.php/Bugs especially have a look at : http://ufo.myexp.de/wiki/index.php/Debugging

please install a gdb version with dev-cpp and please create a backtrace - this is currently the only thing that would help us to solve your problem.

SORRY FOR THE LONG DELAY,

i did exactly what was written in the instructions.. ( installed the software etc..)
ran the  gdb ufo.exe

and when the game crashed... i tried to go to the CMD and type bt full...

this is the copy of the CMD:

I have no idea why it might be crashing. Seems to be after it loads all the required data for the mission, so it is very strange.

If you post your saved-game somewhere (perhaps on the projects sourceforge bug tracker) we will try and investigate what might be causing it.

Also, I would be interested to know what happens if you start a standard new campaign, build a base then bring up the console and type "mission baseattack". This will attempt to start a base-attack mission immediately.
