Campaign progression in 2.4

Hi,

Does the campaign ever end?

I mean a have not the latest 2.4 version (i downloaded the latest stable build from about a week ago) but after more than a year (1 1/2) of game time, blasted a few Corrupter alien ship and researched everything offered i still do not see and end.

ps : Sorry if it was already asked but i have tried the search function but was unable to find what i was looking for.

In 2.4 the campaign ends after you destroyed an alien base.
