My Save Game fails to Load (2.4)

Hello,

I'm new to this game, and so far I really like this game! This morning though, I tried to load my save game, but it failed to load and it bought up the console with all this stuff in it:

AIR_UpdateHangarCapForOne: no free space!  - I'm no genius, but I'm guessing this is the problem, since it is also flashing in red at the top of the console :P Unfortunately I have no idea what it means.. :/


So my question is - How can I fix this?

Some extra info - Yesterday I tried to load the save too, but the Game just crashed. Ever since then this problem occurs.

You have 2 Stilettos, but only 1 small hangar on the second base, that causes the error.

How did you do that? :)

I have absolutely no idea :o lol

It didn't stop me from buying the extra Stilleto though, which is odd. Anyways how can I remedy this? I would really like to continue with the campaign :)

Perhaps the loader could try hard to restore the savegame, displaying a warning to the user "corrupt savegame, trying to continue.... you have one stiletto too many... removing one ..."

Ok. It's done. The latest (source) version doesn't exit on the broken save but throws a warning. We're not yet finished, we should find out what caused the bug. Incorrect capacities can cause strange problems. I think "Change homebase" function is somehow affected; the code also work differently if you have one or no hangars (of a type) on a base..

Please, to avoid further problems, build a small hangar or transfer one of the stilettos from 'Phalanx Production Lines: Siberia' base after loaded the game.

is that possible to produce a stilleto in a base that don't have a interceptor hangar???

In french there is a saying telling that who is capable of the best thing is also capable of normal thing... so i alway asked myself why interceptor does not fit in the dropship hangard.

@jerikojerk: no its not possible to produce aircraft if there's not enough space in the base's hangars for it

@geever: I managed to reproduce it, after trying all possible combinations of transferring/changing home base/producing and destroying hangars/buying more craft trying to fool the game to squeeze two Stilettos in one hangar (and failing), the problem is much more easier to reproduce, and now I have a base with 10 Stilettos stacked in a single small hangar (see attachment, edit: base in the Antarctic) ;D.

It's very easy, if you don't have a command centre in the base the game will let you buy as many Stilettos as there are in the market, interestingly it doesn't seem to work with the Saracen or the Firebird.

I also found another issue while testing this, if you start production of an aircraft and then destroy the hangar or fill it with a bought one, the production is said to be postponed but in fact it will still be produced -- once it is the only project left in the queue -- but will never be finished, it will accumulate negative work hours, tough.
