I know there are a thousand things currently in the queue for TODO, but I couldn't find any reference to this in the existing posts.  Doors.  Doors were one of the meanest things in the old X-Com.

Open a door, and meet ... nothing?... 4 Tamans with RF on? ... 2 Chrysalids with their backs turned (woot!).  Close door and run like hell?

Open a door so you can close it again, or blow the snorts out of it with a grenade and never hide again from that alien?  Always an interesting tactical decision.

Are doors even reasonably possible with the Q2 engine?  It used to be a rt-click to open/close the things (which was rather intuitive), how would it be approached now?  Would it suffer the same fate in the Q2 engine as other models, it can't be that and breakable?  Is this even a feasible hope in this engine?
