I can confirm this problem also with r28889 !
Maybe a more precise description of the problem will help finding the bug:

- The bug appears only in the first turn, ending the turn makes soldiers & aliens feel pain again.

- In the first turn all shots will go straight through the soldiers or aliens not hurting them, as long as they just look around, but do not move.

- The problem occurs with all weapons, just explosions will hurt them (from grenades or an exploding rocket next to the target).

- Moving the soldier makes him vulnerable again, ending the turn makes the bug disappear also.

I hope this description helps eliminating the problem...

Hey !
Just a little feedback:
Tested 2.3dev-rev28889 & it is snowing on the frozen-maps  ;D
The particles look great, IMHO this is a great improvement in terms of great optics, atmosphere & variety of the maps !
I just wonder how this great feature got lost  !?
But that's not important anymore, cause WeatherFX are back in the game, all thumbs up !!!

I think a sound cue implementation is planned & already defined in base/ufos/team_aliens.ufo (see actorsounds, hurtsound), but the soundfiles defined for hurtsound are not playing at all, humans also don't scream in pain when getting hurt...
Maybe mattn could take a look at this  ::)

The RF-Selection-Mode is really not very intuitive @ the moment  ::)
@Muton: To get rid of this message, you have first to check the round circle (see screenshot).
I did not get it for a long time also, even after reading the posts concerning this, so I decided a screenshot would explain it best.
I am running XP, ufoai-2.3-dev-28776-Debug-full-win32 & even after many clicks for activating the reaction fire none of my soldiers would ever shoot @ an alien... I suppose this is not the way it should be...

Sorry about making troubles, but I also have bugs regarding the textures in UFORadiant  :'(, although I do not know if it is the same bug I am suffering from...
I checked the stuff first on 2 different computers, both running Win XP SP3, but one having a ATI 3400, the other having a Nvidia GTX-260 GFX-Card with the latest drivers installed, the problem is the same on both of them. I am uploading some screenshots, maybe someone could help  ::)

I've reinstalled using Destructavator's latest exe and I get the same error, except I'm missing libxml2-2.dll, and UFORadiant does not eventually load. I've tried reinstalling twice with the same problem.
I had the same problem with the latest dev-builds of UFORadiant...

This is the one which eventually starts:

Hey !

I scanned through the net & checked out many of the free sound samples databases. Like always most of the databases contain only crap or the licensing stuff & origin is unclear  :P, but

http://www.freesound.org

is loaded with many different high-quality samples, all licensed under Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 License:

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/sampling+/1.0/

Question to the developers: Is this license ok 4 you ?

Then I could cut the samples, maybe encode them in *.ogg, rename them & upload them somewhere.

I actually became aware of the MakeHuman project, because you mentioned them somewhere here...
Did you also try the import script for blender ?
