An integer length limitation. Int values can only go so high...

Linux / Re: Missing file to run game?

That doesn't work. You have to compile it yourself so it's tailored to your system; the missing file problem will disappear.

What system, may I ask, is the binary compiled on? A Debian-based system?

I have had this problem myself. The solution is to compile the game yourself and install the resulting executables. You then have to unpack the data and map packs to the specified directory. (One of last lines in output)

Sorry, sold that computer... on my new one, though, I found that installing from source makes it work better.

Wether it's a hoax or not, I think the point of the hype is to gradually shift people from fossil fuels. If people continue using them until depletion, no one will be able to get around in their gasoline-guzzling cars until a substitute is found. This would devastate economies and possibly cause other various problems. A switch may also preserve them for the future if there were to be a sudden need of them.

Considering temperature fluctuations are normal, people should really focus on saving fossil fuels. Imagine what'll happen after those are gone...

Speaking of the temperature, you also have to consider the Earth's energy source - the sun. CO2 trapping heat makes less of a difference if the sun is simply sending more heat.

And just a note for disappearing ammo: weapons automatically consume one ammo, so make sure to have extra clips.

I'd say you need 512MB if not a gigabyte for occaisional gaming (anything not so huge). Although I've been on decently-running XPs with 128MB, they were only for typing, etc.

"Hold position" sounds fun.

I'm currently learning C++, so I could possibly code some of these types in the near future.

Well, no point in continuing the argument... yes, very unlikely but still plausible that aliens have contacted Earth.

Why not by an old computer for $50 or less, buy a new disk and  install Linux on it? That way it could always be up and you have full control over it. If this is possible, I recommend SuSE Linux. If there is no specific SuSE package for a program, use a Fedora RPM, as they usually work just as well.

...Which brings us back to the hidden contacts theory. Wether they invented the microprocessor or we did, they would know how it works and owuld probably be able to read ASCII binary text.
