Is the release just for the PC version, or does it not matter which Operating System (PC, Mac, or Linux) you use ???

COOL ;D

What else has anyone thought of?

We need flying enemies, but I can't come up with anything original :'(
Maybe something like Halo's Drones or X-com's Floaters.

Edit: UH OH :o this belongs in the  "Alien Ideas" Thread

Still, Taman are susposed to be these weak critters. you would think a few would get killamafied when crashing (unbuckeled) in any type of vehicle.
But how would the game work then, ???

Crash survivors could be wounded, or they could panic if your ground troops get there soon enough :)

I realize that the game engine doesn't support fully destructible terrain :'(
But just hear me out,

I was watching Weaponology on the military channel US Army Engineers.
After the Engine is adjusted, we can have demo packs ;D

Use e'm to Blow Holes in Walls, Drop Down Through the Celling, and as Manually Detonated Land-mines 8)

My copy of X-com wouldn't run and kept crashing instead of loading ground battles,

I learned how to play by reading and watching videos so I am very much interested in finally using PSI powers.

PH3R our hatred of bombing runs, Bad Idea.

The tanks would be moved around and ordered to fire just like normal soldiers,
Except, they couldn't be healed in the field and would be auto-repaired back at base.
New Toolkits would solve that y'know Medkits to be used tanks.

Maybe in UFO:AI workers and medics could be taken to the field,
medics could get more healing per Medkit use
and workers could get more repairing per Toolkit use.

Tactics / Re: use of stun rod

One of my guys had a Heavy Lazer when he panicked,
he killed a Civi and squad-mate before I thought to take him down with the stun rod.

That's the last time I'll forget to check my men into the hospital.

In the original X-Com, the Muton's green color scheme would sometimes go unnoticed by players during jungle and forest missions.

The same principal could be used in multiplayer, although I haven't tried the multiplayer yet.

Tactics / Confused About the Shotgun?
« on: March 26, 2008, 01:41:33 am »
It's not really the Shotgun, It's the Ammo.

Sabot rounds have a range of 30, but use the "Close" Skill
Flechette rounds have a range of 15 but use the "Assault" Skill

Is it just me that thinks that the Skills should be swaped?

EDIT: what I mean is that...
  • Sabot rounds have more Accuracy/Range, less power, and fire 1 bullet per Sabot round; but have the "Close" skill
  • while Flechette rounds have less Accuracy/Range, more power, and fire multiple Flechettes per round; and have the "Assault" skill
  • That was in game, here online, Both ammo types have the "Assault skill

Which has the right info: Ingame or Online. Also, should this belong in the bug tracker for being an Ammo bug or a Typo?
