@BAM: I don't know what you mean. The game can't run on machine which don't have 32bit integers, it's not a compatibility problem here. I don't argue about the limitation - I can change it in the code for myself - just pointed out that it's not limitation of the programming language or machine.

Feature Requests / Re: Revise Initial Base Layout
« on: July 16, 2008, 07:46:07 pm »
1. You can disable autobuild and set up your initial base as you want! (This is also a "cheat", because these buildings will be set up in no time, but whatever you build later - or to the autobuilded they will take days as usual.)
2. There is a plan about saveable base templates, AFAIR.
3. Number of blocked tiles are random in the current trunk (from 0 to 2). (I have changed it recently.) So, if you're lucky (or play with reload game) you can have a base without any.

I don't know GtkRadiant but for sure more information needed. Does it write any error messages out?

Some silly questions (sorry):
- do you have python installed
- did you run the command without run''
- On which OS (on windows you should replace slashes w. blackslashes)

And again: Is there any error messages?

Feature Requests / Re: How to handle Base under attack?
« on: July 14, 2008, 01:04:25 am »
You can defend your base even if there are no soldiers - soldiers from your dropship will be temporary "teleported" there. However if you close the popup and don't go fightin' you cannot get it back. (At least I couldn't.)

Nope. Even a signed long can store 2 billions. This limitation is defined in cl_campaign.c:4245.

I kindly ask you to speak English whenever possible. And if not (possible) please explain it. This is an English forum in general.

Thanks!

Windows / Re: hasn't the problem with grey geoscape fixed yet?
« on: June 30, 2008, 11:03:15 pm »
Possible solutions:

try enabling texture compression

try 2.2.1 that's the latest stable.

Also many things has been changed in the current development version. You may want to try a beta package http://mattn.ninex.info/?page=Download .

Btw, I read there were problems with intel "cards". To tell you the truth they are not designed for gaming.

Nice job! However we may need a timed bomb not a remote controlled, but I'm not sure. (Hmm..  Have I read this somewhere or just thought :) )

To tell you the truth I would like to have both versions in my toolkit (in the game ofc). Maybe the detonator could be a necessary attachment? (Ok, I know attachments are not yet implemented.)

yep. usually when psionic power enters the game you have to fire your best sniper (as he/she had bad psionic power).

My "A Team" had always a minimum 70 but rather 80 psi-power so they could stand psi-attacks.

Feature Requests / Re: Buildings - Ufopedia-Link
« on: June 16, 2008, 10:56:51 pm »
I've made an easy solution:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1995491&group_id=157793&atid=805244

There will be an icon on the building-info panel.

You don't have to (re)compile the game for it, just add the lines marked with '+' to menu_buildings.ufo file.
(This file is in %gamedir%/base/ufos/. But you may need to extract it from %gamedir%/base/0ufos.pk3 - which is a zip.)

I always hated blasters in XCOM games. I'm happy we don't have similar!
