Some fast evil robots would be good. Though, I think hovering things are deprecated within the ufo:ai world.

Robotic gun emplacements are a very good idea. (I'm thinking of the directors cut of Aliens). If I was building a base from which to defend the earth from alien hordes, they would be on my shopping list.

portable cloaking and shields: not sure I approve either.

teleporting: I really think this would just be the wrong style.

I don't think I would use it. I usually have a grenade or rocket launcher about, and these are a bit hazardous on reaction fire.

The current one is hard to understand. It seems to be that if the trajectory trace goes red before it hits the ground, then the target is out range. but i don't really rate this.

If you are playing on a hard level  there may not be any more candidates to hire as soldiers. That pane does mouswheel scroll for me (on windows xp). when i played on easy I got plenty of candidates, but didn't get enough on normal (I got xeno-spanked).

I agree with mattn.

IMO: if you know you can save and load all the time, it encourages cheatiness and takes some of the fear away.

Interceptions are not fully implemented yet.

I plan to keep an eye on this forum and update, as the frequency of various issues becomes apparent.

I want to do some coding, but I only really know java. I'm getting to grips with mingw. I got a "hello world" program to work yesterday :lol: . I suspect it will be a while until I can really help.  :roll:

I agree with you on all points.

I have read (somewhere on this forum or the TODO wiki or ...) that there are plans to overhaul the inverntory system (which covers many of your suggestions).

many of the points you raise have been mentioned (like turning with MMB, RMB, CTRL) already.

probably is a bug. try to provide more info, to help the team find it. see this "Crash when using secondary lander team, and at base attacks." thread to start with. I should point out - I'm just "cannon fooder", but I've been following a few of these bug threads with interest.

yep.

used one medikit once. no other medikit has any love to give.

I plan to play some more (currently coming to terms with broken savegames), I will see if I can deduce any other salient facts about the medikit issue.

I have got the broken savegames playing in english, not changing from default. (though I havent checked if I have the "could not set to language" startup log entry.

A reply for the Dutch Phantom on page 2:
Serialization (in this context) is saving the state of the game (ie your progress, in a more sensible way than a memory dump).

I would suggest that if you don't know how to code in c, you will not be able to help. (You could always try and learn).

I would like to help too and am just starting to learn about SVN, and revise c.

I would prefer a RMB turn too. I don't think the controls are configurable. It would be great if they were.

I keep accidentally zooming, when I mean to turn.

It is a great game.

Another medikit problem (in 2.1). I took around 5 medikits on a mission. I used one and they all had zero charge afterwards.
