hey just a thought. I mean it would be cool to have an all black team. hell i think we should have a point in the game where if you dont have enough arabs or white people, you must hire more of them over the black guy. then you start getting protests outside your base by various groups. and you have to pay them off. It forces the player to think "WHOLE PICTURE" what to do with funds etc...also having to explain yourself to the world media, that would seem pretty cool. Oh there should also be strikes every now and then from the Engineers. where are the strikes?

Yeah that was something I noticed too. My teams seemed to be mostly females. IN order to fix that, I just hired Males only, crappy stats and all. But I thought of it as some reverse affirmative action in the future when perfectly abled Women need to make room for weaker men, in order to bring the ratio back to normal. Or i just hated seeing women at positions of authority, or i thought it just plain unrealistic. Whatever the case, I hired more men than women. Something else i'm wondering about is the lack of Black soldiers. and also African Names. I've seen Japanese, chinese, western european, Indian, arab and east european names. But wheres Mutembe Batombe?? Or Bafano Jonka?

Yeah I was so glad to find a copy of UFO X-Com at a computer shop that sold old games and 2nd hand items. I paid 3 bucks for it, original package. It was all able to fit into a thumb drive

thanks. THATS ANOTHER THING! The "Virus Bar" mines only reached 3%. i was hoping to see Soldiers turn into aliens or zombies or something. I forgot about changing the difficulty. All this time, I thought i was kicking ass. Is 2.3 out yet? Got the idea that is going to take a bit.

 I'm new to these parts so here goes:

 Did i just beat the game??? I had no more research options left, and after a captured UFO was disassembled the game took me to a "thanks for playing-type" screen with the names of the development crew (thanks by the way). There were LOTS of things i didn't get to see: a UFO attack on my base, a higher rank for my soldiers, only two soldiers made it past Rifleman. I had about 25 soldiers hired, and 10 of them saw more than 15 combat missions. So what happened? Another thing i did not see was my SAM Batteries at full use. The game said it was "activated" but i never saw it respond to anything. Is there some sort of command I must give? I also never saw a mini gun. Never needed to use the secondary or melee weapons, and never got to capture an alien other than an orknok (which was probably my fault). The game does keep going, but i still cant help but feel theres nothing left to research. Am I right about this? One last thing. The date is January 1st. I haven't even reached a year yet. I only created 3 bases. and for some reason, UFO's have been scared to fly around earth lately. Is there some sort of bug here?

I also read somewhere that there IS no ending to the game. Im running version 2.2.1.

 Umm more black soldiers? Less female soldiers? I guess i can hire ONLY male soldiers with female every now and then. but 50-50 female-male unit is unrealistic. even black soldiers. let's put it at about for every 5 soldier, 2-3 are black.

   I want my 15 bucks back. The guy wearing the black coat in the dark alley sold this game for me for 15 bucks. apparently everyone else got it for cheap. So since i paid more for my copy, I'm just going to sit here and read the forum, and not contribute anything.
