Try using Muton's build script.  It's a big download but there's nothing to install and configuration is super simple.  Just download, unzip, and click go.  In a couple hours you'll have a up2date ufoai.  Just make sure to follow the suggested file structure.

I can't seem to find out how to transfer stored UFOs between yards.  Am I missing something or is it not implemented yet?

Download CPU-Z from cpuid.com and look under the Cache tab.

If battlescape saves were added, I guarantee I'll become savescum as would everyone else.  You know it's true!  This way, it's more exciting.

I find it sad that an applications developer/family man would find it necessary to personally attack a open source developer for coding his game the way he sees fit.  As a developer, you should see by the number of svn commits, how active mattn is and how much work he puts in.  If you really need saves, why don't you write the code.  Just make sure to make your own fork because I really don't want them.   As a family man, you should really just know better.

Thanks Muton!  It works perfectly.  I simply downloaded your package, configured it up and now I've got one click updates!

The only problem I had was missing dll files but I read the thread more carefully and realized you have to copy them out of \UFOAIwin32BUILDenv\MinGW\ufoai\contrib\dlls\ into the ufoai directory.

Fresh build with all the maps, no radiant, no installer took 1hr 18mins on a Core2Duo 2.4GHz w/optimized settings.

Thanks again! ;D

Discussion / Laser Stats

I was looking at the weapons_laser.ufo for build 28896 and the Lasers all have a lower spread when standing compared to crouching.  Is that the way it's supposed to be?  Doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks to you guys for packing these installers for us!  I'm not adept enough to figure out the whole SVN/CodeBlocks procedure so I really appreciate it.  :)
